Who these terms are with

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may change them; the version number and date at the top will change with them, and the version in force is the one published here at the time you visit.

Our privacy policy forms part of these terms and explains what this website collects.

What this site is, and what it is not

This is an informational website. It describes what we build and why. It is not a product, not a portal, and not a place where any examination is conducted, delivered, marked or stored.

Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance. Everything here is an invitation to talk to us. No contract comes into existence because you read a page, fill in the contact form, subscribe to our articles, or receive a reply from us.

Any supply of Nexa, CORTEX or any other product or service is governed solely by a separate written agreement signed by Durjeya and the customer. Where anything on this site differs from that signed agreement, the signed agreement prevails, and the customer may not rely on this website in place of it. Deployment scope, service levels, security commitments, warranties, acceptance criteria, support and liability are matters for that agreement and are not to be inferred from a web page.

Product descriptions and the limits of our claims

This section matters more than the rest of this page. Read it before relying on anything we say about how our systems behave.

Descriptions are of intended design behaviour

Where this site describes how Nexa or CORTEX works, it describes how the system is designed to behave. It is an account of an architecture, not a warranty about any particular installation, and not a measured result from any particular examination. How a system behaves in the field also depends on the configuration deployed, the hardware used, the procedures the operating body follows, and the conduct of the people in the room. Those are not all within our control, and we do not claim they are.

Tamper-evident, not tamper-proof

Our security claims are claims of evidence, not of impossibility. The design goal is that interference with a question paper, a response or a custody record leaves a trace that can be detected and proved afterwards, by someone who does not have to trust us. That is what “verify, don’t trust” means on this site.

It is not a claim that any system is impossible to attack, impossible to break, or immune from compromise. We do not make that claim about our products, and you should distrust anyone who makes it about theirs. Where a page uses words such as sealed, secure or protected, read them as describing the design objective just stated, and not as a guarantee of absolute security.

Some properties belong to one embodiment, not to every configuration

Two claims on this site need this qualification explicitly, and we would rather state it ourselves than have it discovered.

• Cannot be intercepted (“sniffed”). This holds for the wired, physically contact-mated link implemented by the Nexa Relay Cards, because a conductive contact has no propagating field to intercept at a distance.
• Cannot be jammed. This likewise holds for the wired, contact-mated link, because jamming requires a shared medium and a conductor between two mated cards is not one.

Our underlying patent describes a broader family of near-physical connections, and some members of that family are radio-based — for example near-field communication, Bluetooth or direct wireless links. The two properties above do not hold for radio-based configurations, and we do not claim they do. Do not read a statement made about the contact-mated Relay Card as a statement about every possible configuration of the invention.

What the design does not remove

An offline, physically mated architecture removes the ability of something outside the examination hall to reach a terminal. It does not remove the possibility of a person physically present in the room acting improperly. What changes is that such an act is designed to leave signed, checkable evidence rather than an unexplained gap. We say this in our published articles and we repeat it here.

Third-party documents, recognitions and references

Where this site refers to a memorandum of understanding, a recommendation, an incubation, a recognition or any other third-party document, we are describing the document itself and nothing more. Such a document is not a certification, an endorsement, an approval, a test result or a security evaluation of our technology unless the document itself says so in those words. No reference on this site should be read as any government body, ministry, official or institution having tested, certified, approved or endorsed our products.

Forward-looking statements

Some material describes capabilities that are planned, in development, or subject to pending applications. Where we can, we mark them as such. They are statements of present intention, not promises, and plans change.

If you find an over-claim

Tell us at mail@durjeya.com and identify the sentence. We will correct it or take it down. We would rather be told than be right.

Patent notice

This notice is given under section 111 of the Patents Act, 1970, which provides that marking an article as patented constitutes notice of the patent only where the patent number accompanies the marking.

• Granted: India Patent No. 572782, granted 28 October 2025. Its claims cover the offline distribution method described in its specification, and nothing wider. The specification is a public document and can be read in full on the Indian Patent Office records.
• Pending: further patent applications have been filed and are under examination. A pending application is not a granted patent. It confers no enforceable patent right unless and until it is granted, its claims may be narrowed or refused during examination, and we do not describe anything covered only by a pending application as “patented”.
• Published internationally: our international application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) was published as WO 2024/003947. Publication is publication, not protection. There is no such thing as an international patent. A PCT publication grants no patent rights in any country; national or regional patents must be applied for and granted separately in each jurisdiction.
• Neither: parts of what we build are ordinary engineering, covered by no patent claim at all, and are not held out as patented.

We keep those four categories separate deliberately, and we ask readers to keep them separate too. If you find a page on this site that blurs them, that is a defect and we want to hear about it at mail@durjeya.com.

Ownership of content and marks

Unless stated otherwise, everything on this website — text, articles, diagrams, animations, photographs, films, code, layout, and the design of the site itself — is owned by Durjeya or licensed to us, and is protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable law.

Durjeya, Nexa, CORTEX, CORTEX, Solve by Synergy, the Durjeya logo and the CORTEX mark are trade marks used by Durjeya Solutions Private Limited in relation to its goods and services. Rights are asserted in them. Nothing on this site grants you any licence to use them.

Names, marks and logos belonging to other organisations that appear on this site remain the property of those organisations, and are shown to identify the organisation referred to. Their appearance implies no association, sponsorship or endorsement beyond what the accompanying text expressly states.

What you may and may not do

Permitted

• Read, browse and use the site for your own information.
• Print or save individual pages for your personal, internal or educational reference.
• Quote a reasonable extract from an article, with attribution to Durjeya and a link to the page you took it from.
• Link to any page on this site, provided the link does not suggest an association, approval or endorsement that does not exist.

Not permitted without our written permission

• Republishing, redistributing or selling our content, in whole or in substantial part.
• Using our content, marks or diagrams in a way that suggests we endorse you, your organisation, your product or your bid.
• Presenting our material as your own, or removing attribution from it.
• Systematic scraping, bulk copying, or extracting the site’s content into another product or dataset.
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the site, its database or its hosting; probing, scanning or load-testing it; introducing malicious code; or interfering with its availability for others.
• Submitting anything through our forms that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that contains another person’s personal data which you have no right to give us.

If you want to do something the first list does not cover, ask us at mail@durjeya.com. The answer is usually yes.

Links and embedded material

This site links to other websites and embeds material hosted by third parties, including our films on Google Drive and a map of our office. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for their content or their availability, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. Our privacy policy lists every third party this site contacts and says when each is contacted.

No warranty for the content of this site

We take care to be accurate, and we correct errors when we find them or when they are pointed out. But this website is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty, express or implied, that its content is complete, current, accurate for your circumstances, or fit for any particular purpose, and none that the site will be available without interruption or free of error.

Nothing on this site is legal, technical, procurement or professional advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for a procurement decision, a security assessment, a tender response, or any other decision that matters. Talk to us, and take your own advice.

Articles published under Insights discuss publicly reported incidents and investigations. Where a matter is under investigation, an allegation is described as an allegation and not as an established fact. Nothing in them should be read as a finding against any organisation or person.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Durjeya, its directors, officers and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated saving, arising out of or in connection with your use of this website or your reliance on anything published on it.

Because this website is provided free and without charge, our total aggregate liability arising from your use of it is limited to one thousand rupees (INR 1,000).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

This section limits liability for this website. Liability in respect of any product or service we supply is dealt with in the separate signed agreement for that supply, and this clause neither extends nor reduces it.

Privacy

What this website collects, why, for how long, and what rights you have over it, are set out in our privacy policy. It covers this website only. It does not cover any examination system operated by an examination body, which is governed by that body’s own arrangements and by our agreement with it.

Reporting a security concern

If you believe you have found a security weakness in this website, please report it to mail@durjeya.com. We will acknowledge your report.

We ask that you do not access, modify, download or disclose data belonging to anyone else while demonstrating an issue, that you do not degrade the service for other users, and that you give us a reasonable opportunity to fix the problem before making it public. Where a report follows those conditions and is made in good faith, we will treat it as a contribution and not as a hostile act.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this website, whether contractual or otherwise, are governed by the laws of India.

The courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.

General

• Severability. If any part of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, that is not a waiver of it on another.
• Entire terms for this site. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole of the terms on which we make this website available, and they replace anything said earlier about the site. They do not replace or vary any signed agreement between us.
• Notices. Legal notices to us should be sent to the registered office above, marked for the attention of the Directors, with a copy to mail@durjeya.com.
